18- Soft Skin Glow

I started out with this picture of Jessie J.  To add a soft glow to her skin, I used a soft focus effect.  First I converted to smart filters, then I applied the Gaussian blur.  Finally, using the brush tool with the airbrush thumbnail, I painted over the eyes, lips, and contour areas that I wanted to keep in focus.

17- Selection via Quickmask

To whiten Liam's teeth I used quick mask mode with the brush tool to precisely select the area that I wanted to work on.  Then after the area selected appeared with a read translucent mask over it, I choose the color white and used the dodge tool to make his teeth whiter.

16- Smart Filter- Motion Blurring

To make it look like the cab was in motion, I began by creating a smart object layer, and  I applied a motion blur filter to the whole photo.  Then I used the paint brush where I didn't want the filter to be applied, and that's the car.   This is how I used Photoshop to made it look like this cab was captured in motion.

15b: Flag Displacement on Face

To create this flag displacement on my face in this picture I used the displacement tool, put the flag on my face and distorted it with a Displacement Map. I used the Displace filter , which works like a texture map, placing the flag over a grid to create a textured look.  That's how I was able to make the flag look like it was painted on my face.

15a- Displacement Flag

I created this painted effect look by overlaying an flag and distorting it with a Displacement Map. I used the Displace filter which is a filter that requires you to use of a displacement map, which works like a texture map, placing the image over a grid that creates a textured look.  Using these techniques on Photoshop I was able to make the flag look more blended into the wall as if it was painted on it.
